One Late Mississippi Senator who Overcame the Odds in Life was Ellis B. Bodron R.I.P. Mr. Bodron was Blind and attended the Mississippi School for the Blind. However, his influence over Mississippi's finances spanned two decades. Even though he could not see, he was able to influence important decisions that could be seen by all. I remember meeting Ellis Bodron as a child and he even though he could not see me he had the personality and swagger of someone who could.
Despite being Blind, Ellis Bodron spent 36 years as a Mississippi Legislator. His legislative career is still highly regarded to this day. As shown in his records, "his intelligence and parliamentary" skills helped him progress to become a distinguished Senator.
